Interlocking grain, medium texture, moderate or absent shine, depending on the species, characteristic smell and indistinct taste.<\/p><p><strong>DENSITY: <\/strong>heavy wood, with a 12% moisture density of 1,050 kg\/m3 and a green density of 1,300 kg\/m3.<\/p><p><strong>DRYING: <\/strong>easy to air dry. When well stacked, it dries quickly and is flawless. Quick and easy oven drying, with slight warping and cracking.<\/p><p><strong>WORKABILITY<\/strong>: regular for planing, good for sanding and excellent for turning and drilling. Pre-drilling is recommended for nailing and screwing. Good finish.<\/p><p><strong>DURABILITY: <\/strong>highly resistant to fungi and termites.<\/p><p><strong>PRESERVATION: <\/strong>the obstruction of the pores, by oil-resin and tile, makes the wood impermeable to preservative solutions, even when under pressure.<\/p><p><strong>USES: <\/strong>indoor constructions, musical instruments, doors, window frames and others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ip\u00ea-roxo Tabebuia serratifolia (Vahl) Nichols.
