Forest management is an opposite activity to deforestation, as there is no total removal of the forest and even after use, the site will maintain its forest cover and structure. It is about the rational and environmentally adequate use of forest resources, following three fundamental principles: ecologically correct, economically viable and socially fair.

The certification guarantees that all environmental and social precautions are observed during the forest management, and that no law or norm is not complied with.
