GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: Dark olive or dark yellowish-olive heartwood, generally uniform, sometimes with greenish reflections due to the presence of the lapachol substance, distinct from the pale-yellow sapwood, medium texture, moderate or absent shine.

DENSITY: 1010 kg/m³ apparent at 15% humidity

DURABILITY: Regular for planing, good for sanding and excellent for turning and drilling.

PRESERVATION:

USES: generally used in interior constructions, musical instruments, doors, moldings, and windows and others.
